Research find The Family That Festivals Together, Stays Together

Living with teenagers can be a nightmare and most parents tread on eggshells 24 hours a day in fear of setting off a hormonal mood swing.

Having interviewed 1000 UK families with children aged 13 – 18, British camping company www.olproshop.com has discovered that sharing an experience like a Festival can strengthen parents’ relationships with difficult teens. OLPRO found that the duration of a Festival is short enough to avoid irritations building up whilst also providing common ground for communication.

Dave Stewart, MD of the www.freshairlearning.com and outdoor development expert, commented on the reasons behind this:

“Our natural environment has long been held to offer a range of therapeutic effects – our body biochemistry changes, our blood pressure drops and our mood lightens. We become open to fresh ideas.

Many of the boundaries normally encountered in the home limit creativity and relationships. These are relaxed or do not exist in the outdoors. This can create a sense of freedom, trigger significant shifts in perspective and enrich our conversations with one another.”

The Witley Windbreak Family Camping Windbreak from OLPRO

This weekend we were away at the Shrewsbury motorhome show, which was fantastic. It also gave us another opportunity to use the Wichenford 8 berth family tent which is a fantastic tent for the five of us and, this weekend, an inlaw. The configuration of the tent means it’s easy to accommodate guests.

It also gave us a chance to put up the fantastic Witley windbreak which everyone on the site around us came across and commented on. Featuring the unique witley design, which you can see more of at www.olproshop.com the windbreak comes in either 7 pole or 5 pole variations.

The 5 pole is 12 feet long and the 7 pole is 18 feet long.

In our case we used the 7 foot one which gave us then plenty of space in front of the tent to put a table and chairs – perfect for breakfast in the morning given how hot this weekend was. It was fantastic to sit outside and eat alfresco.

Alot of people have put the OLPro tent range down as glamping and having had another weekend away in the Wichenford I’d definetly agree. Sewn in groundsheet, thick 5000 HH fabric, and matching windbreak, sleeping bags and melamine – plus the pop up OLPro WC (great for kids) it was a definate home from home.

With this fantastic weather set to last every weekend we’re now away and looking forwatd to them all. See more at www.olproshop.com .

Bottom & Top and Inside & Out

The first two products created by OLPRO are our two essential chemicals that no caravan owner, camper or RV owner should be without.

Bottom & Top is a highly concentrated toilet fluid and rinse all in one.

You put in only 50ml to 10 litres of water so a two litre bottle, at only $10.14 RRP means 40 shots of Bottom and Top in a bottle at only 25p a shot. That is four times as much as other leading brands and at half the price.

You can see from our video how Bottom & Top is used.

When it comes to cleaning we wanted to create something completely new and so created Inside & Out, which can be used to clean every part of the caravan or motorhome. We also use it on cars and I’ve known people use it on horse boxes and boats.

Inside and Out Application Information:

Can be applied by spray, mop or cloth:

Caravan Cleaner: 100ml/ small cup to 5 litres of water.

Black Streak Remover: Use undiluted.

Glass Cleaner: 10ml/2 teaspoons to 1 litre of water.

Wheel Cleaner: Use undiluted.

Bathroom Cleaner: 100ml to 1 litre of water.

Hard Surface Cleaner: 100ml to 1 litre of water.

Fabric Cleaner: 100ml to 1 litre of water.

If you haven’t yet tried then Inside & Out then I would definitely recommend it. It is a fantastic product.

Unique Designs & Quality

Unique Designs and Quality
May 26, 2013
We started OLPRO in 2011. We all come from the camping and caravanning industry but wanted to create a different type of company to bring in different types of products.

If you’re on a campsite – in a tent or in a caravan – options before OLPRO meant it was difficult to not to look the same as every other person on that site.

We have designed and manufactured a range of tents, melamine, sleeping bags, and windbreaks which are very different to anything already out there.

You can see from our website www.olpro.co.uk.

Our three tents, the Wichenford , the Martley and the Knightwick are all red, black and grey so will instantly stand out on any camping site in these fantastic colours. The technical aspect of these as recently won The Martley a place in the Top Ten Tents of the Year from The Independent newspaper.

Our cool windbreaks are also going to be appearing on a famous television soap too soon, and our melamine was listed in the essential products for 2013 by Practical Caravan – along with our chemical range.

OLPRO products are chosen because they are unique.

OLPRO isn’t the cheapest range of camping or caravanning products but our designs are unique so you stand out from the crowd – The Witley and Berrow Hill family of products are unique to us – and the quality of everything is also important to us.

We use 100% melamine in all of our melamine sets and rot proof fabric in our windbreaks. Our chemicals have a high concentration of the things that work and our SMD lighting is guaranteed for five years.

In everything that we do we think about the quality because we want everything that we do to last. That, we believe, is real value for money. Buying something that’s uniquely designed and built to last.

You can always talk to us too! Tweet us, Email us, Call us or even Write to us. We love hearing from you.
